When I was a teenager, my family lost our home to foreclosure. My dad had lived in that home for 26 years, so it should have almost been paid off — except he mismanaged the mortgage. Or did he just get bad mortgage advice, with all those refinances?

That experience changed everything for me. I made a promise to myself: no family should ever feel that helpless. I dedicated my career to understanding every corner of the mortgage industry—so I could be the expert my parents never had.
